Ben Eddy

U.S. Army Veteran (1950–1952)
Drafted into the U.S. Army in December 1950, he served with 3rd Platoon, M Company, 3rd Battalion, 164th Regiment, 47th Infantry Division as a 75mm recoilless rifle team member. He was later transferred to Germany with the 28th Infantry Division, serving in M Company, 1st Platoon as a .30-caliber air-cooled machine gun operator. He completed his service in January 1952, traveling to and from Germany aboard the USS General S. D. Sturgis.
