Brian E Kelly
Navy
Lieutenant
Veteran

Brian was born into a military family: his father served in the US Army, and his grandfather served in the US Air Force. From an early age, Brian knew that he was also destined to serve. He graduated from the US Naval Academy with the Class of 1991; upon commissioning, Brian joined the Submarine Force.
Brian’s first assignment was onboard USS MIAMI (SSN-755). While on MIAMI, Brian earned his Gold Dolphins and qualified as a Naval Nuclear Engineer. Brian’s deployments included missions to the North Atlantic, Mediterranean, and the Persian Gulf, including a transit of the Suez Canal. Brian’s next assignment was with DSV SEA CLIFF (DSV-4), a deep-diving manned submersible. Brian qualified as a Deep Submergence Pilot and conducted dives in support of science and salvage missions for the Navy. Brian left the Navy in 1998.
Brian loves this country and is extremely proud of his service. He continues to support veterans as a leader in the Veterans Forum at Wabtec.
