Edward A Staszewski

Edward enlisted in the US Navy in January 1943. He served in the European and Asian Theaters aboard the SS Paul Revere (Troop Transport) and the James J Hill (Liberty Ships) They transported servicemen to and from "the front" as well as food, supplies and equipment to the servicemen. As a Gunners Mate, he helped keep the ship safe by watching for enemy ships, submarines and planes. He never spoke about his experiences in the Navy but I am proud of him and his service. Dad had an outstanding work ethic so I am sure he did his job in the Navy the same way.
