MAJOR Joe Pfadt
Military Biography
Major Joe Pfadt enlisted in the United States Army Reserves in January of 1982 as a Military Policeman in the 307th Military Police Company in New Kensington, Pennsylvania. He attended the Military Police School at Fort McClellan Alabama in the summer of 1982 were he graduated as a Military Policeman. While serving in the 307th MP Co he was promoted rapidly and served in several different positions to include; MP Team Leader, Squad Leader and Platoon Sergeant within a 5 year period. Pfadt was awarded the Army Achievement Medal in 1985 while serving as a Team Leader. Pfadt attended the Basic Non Commissioned Officer School and the Military Police Investigation Course with in the Military Police. Pfadt attended Officer Candidate School at the Pennsylvania Military Academy at Fort Indiantown Gap and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in August of 1990. He graduated as a Distinguished Graduate and was awarded the Pennsylvania Commendation Medal and the Reserve Officer Association Award. Pfadt completed the Infantry Officer Basic Course at Fort Benning Georgia in the fall of 1990 and graduated in January of 1991. He served as a Rifle Platoon Leader in the 1/112th Infantry Battalion of the 28th Infantry Division. Pfadt was awarded the Army Commendation Medal in 1992 for his excellence as a Rifle Platoon Leader. Pfadt attended the Junior Tactical Leadership Development Course, the Company Pre Command Course and the Instructor Trainer Course as a Platoon Leader. Pfadt attended the Armor Officer Advanced Course at Fort Knox, Kentucky in the summer of 1996. He has served for the 14 years in the 1/112th Infantry in several different capacities. He was a Company XO for C Company, HHC XO and NBC Officer. Pfadt was the Commander of Headquarters Company 1/112 Infantry from 1998 until 2001 where he distinguished himself by passing several company level inspections and through Annual Training at Fort Stewart, Georgia. Pfadt served as a Staff Officer on the Battalion Staff of the 1/112th Infantry until he was mobilized for deployment for Task Force Falcon in Kosovo in March of 2003. As a member of Task Force Falcon Pfadt served in the General Staff Operation Section as a Battler Captain. He was responsible for Current Operations within Multi National Brigade East Kosovo as a Battle Captain from July 2003 until February of 2004. This included all Ongoing Operations within the Multi National Brigade East, to include U.S., Greek, Polish, Ukrainian, Italian, and Lithuanian Soldiers. He was responsible for the coordination of ongoing operations from a wide variety of missions. Pfadt attended CAX in 2009 and the Command and General Staff College in 2012. Major Pfadt was then assigned to the Training Site Garrison at Fort Indiantown Gap where he served as Special Project Officer and Chief of Personnel and Communications under the Garrison Commander. Major Pfadt retired in 2012.

Major Pfadt has also been awarded The Order of Saint Maurice Medal for his service as an Infantry Officer.
