Louis Edward LaCastro

My Dad entered into active service June -3- 1944 and was stationed in Italy as a private first class soldier in the 11 infantry. He was a heavy truck driver and ran blackout missions, in August 1945 he loaded into a boat heading towards France,and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. In 1946 he had a honorable discharge and went back to work at Erie Resistor corporation.He never really talked about his time in the service,especially his time fighting in Normady. I am very proud of him and his service in the Army and as a Father.
